An example of a bug on the GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus which results in random volume changes on 900MHz EDGE networks.

what network is this on?
I received my new Nexus yesterday from UK and I noticed that there is a problem with the general device volume too low for the notification sounds. I am wondering if it is a speaker issue since all volumes seem to be too low or it is part of the same volume "bug"reported earlier in UK? Any idea? Thanks.
well it seems like a software issue. hope Google fixes it soon
@MrRedJoker93 T-Mobile does.
I like how you caught that lol
Oh dangnt how else will i be able to use EDGE!?
@TheMajinVegeta1 too*
I think the new intro moves a little bit to fast for the pace of the song
Edge can be pretty useful actually. Switching off 3G can save a lot of juice.
@MrRedJoker93 the 900MHZ band is UK i geus. we use 1800MHZ in holland.
lol edge
Luckily I’m on H3G italy which doesn’t have edge
The iPhone can’t make calls, the Nexus mutes itself so you don’t hear any calls…
when are my "smartphones" going to actually, you know. Work as phones?
hey alex please let me know how is the battery life… i got one but not happy with battery life. cheers mate. thanks
@Doctors2Advocate yeah i know. what I was asking was that since this bug only seems to occur on 900MHz EDGE networks and none of the carriers (I believe) use that frequency here in the US then we wouldn’t see that bug right?
@MrRedJoker93 Phone is pentaband hspa, it’d be fine on either AT&T or T-Mo in the US
@RomeoValentino haha verizon wont have this bug/glitch it doesnt ruun on 900mhz
no one has edge lol
@RomeoValentino yeaa plus theres no edge no more
Verizon doesn’t use a 900 MHz edge network. so no worries.
Still buying it when it’s released on Verizon.
Wow
So even if this was released in USA as a GSM phone it wouldn’t matter right? I don’t believe any of the carriers here use the 900MHz but I could be mistaken…
