  •  Panama City -- The St. Patrick’s Day morning show on NewChannel 7 Today featured Irish dancers, and a local chef who stopped by to share a very easy Corned Beef and Cabbage Recipe. What the video here to see how it’s done; if you want to try, just follow the recipe below! Ingredients: • 3 pounds corned beef brisket with spice packet• 1 pound small red potatoes• ½ pound baby carrots• 1 large head cabbage, cut into quarters Directions: • Place corned beef in Crock Pot; add 3 qts water and contents of spice packet.• Cover and cook on low overnight or on high 3 – 4 hours or until tender (alternately may be cooked on top of stove in stockpot for 2 ½ - 3 hours).• When finished cooking, remove meat from Crock Pot; put on platter and keep warm.• Put broth from Crock Pot in large stockpot.• Add potatoes, carrots and cabbage and cook until almost tender, approximately 10 minutes.• Slice meat across grain; add to stockpot with vegetables and cook additional 5 minutes.• Serve in bowls with piping hot cornbread, and enjoy!
