MTSU shooting: campus reopened.
A shooting occurred at Middle Tennessee State University shortly before noon Monday, according to CBS News. The shooting was first reported to have happened in the Business and Aerospace Building of the Murfreesboro, Tenn. university.
Witnesses reported an argument between two men, which resulted in one of them pulling out a gun and shooting the other in the hand. Police have reportedly caught a suspect in the shooting and have taken the victim to a hospital, UCdailynews.com reports.
Business and Aerospace Building has now reopened after being placed on lock down, along with the surrounding area, as police and SWAT officers patrolled the campus.
Just after the MTSU shooting, Students were asked to remain in their dormitories or apartments. However, campus activity resumed as normal as of Monday afternoon according to the university’s official website.
